Special action is needed to tackle “outrageous” discrepancy between adult and child HIV
ABSTRACT At Montreal’s Internal AIDS Conference three UN agencies (UNAIDS, UNICEF and WHO) took the opportunity of announcing the launch of a new coalition to end AIDS in children by 2030 and by doing so address one of the most glaring disparities in the current AIDS response. The Global Alliance for Ending AIDS in Children by 2030 is based on a partnership that will be active in 12 African countries during its first phase. It will be officially launched in Africa in Nigeria in October 2022.
