Stakeholders in Tanzania identify areas for BACKUP Health technical support
ABSTRACT
German International Development Cooperation commissioned a needs assessment in Tanzania between March and July 2021 to identify BACKUP Health technical support areas to strengthen the country’s health systems. On 16 September 2021, BACKUP Health, in collaboration with the Tanzania National Coordinating Mechanism, organized a stakeholder workshop to validate the key results and recommendations of the needs assessment. The workshop participants, some of which attended face-to-face while others virtually, were government officials, representatives of bilateral and multilateral organizations, and civil society.

Le 15 septembre 2021, BACKUP Health a organisé un atelier de parties prenantes en Ouganda en vue de valider les conclusions d’une évaluation des besoins et de discuter de la voie à suivre pour les domaines nécessitant une assistance technique. Parmi les participants, dont certains ont pris part en personne et d’autres virtuellement, figuraient des fonctionnaires publics, des représentants d’organismes bilatéraux et multilatéraux et de la société civile.
Stakeholders in Uganda identify areas for BACKUP Health technical support
ABSTRACT
On 15 September 2021, BACKUP Health organized a stakeholder’s workshop in Uganda to validate the findings of a needs assessment appraisal and discuss a way forward for areas requiring technical assistance. The workshop participants, some of which attended physically while others virtually, were government officials, representatives of bilateral and multilateral organizations, and civil society.

Toolkit Released on Incorporating HSS in Round 10 Proposals
ABSTRACT
The Health Systems Strengthening toolkit contains information on how countries can use funding from the Global Fund to support HSS activities, and on technical support providers that are available to assist applicants in developing proposals that address HSS.
