ABSTRACT India is preparing to transition away from Global Fund support –– gradually, over a nine-year period. Some transition measures have already been adopted. India’s transition plans were described at some length in grant documents related to the country’s 2017 funding requests for TB, HIV and malaria. We provide a summary.
ABSTRACT Mozambique’s new TB/HIV grants will have a strong focus on retention and adherence for people who were recently initiated on antiretroviral treatment. According to the Technical Review Panel, civil society, including representatives of key populations, were fully engaged in the development of the funding request. Among the concerns raised by the TRP was that the interventions to improve treatment outcomes for multiple-drug-resistant TB were not clearly articulated. In addition, the TRP sent two matching funds requests back for iteration.
ABSTRACT The focus of the Community Systems Strengthening Framework prepared by the Global Fund, with input from many organisations, is on strengthening community systems for scaled-up, quality, sustainable community based responses. It is a useful tool for Round 10 applicants.
