Canada will host The Global Fund’s fifth replenishment conference in Montreal on 16 September 2016. In making the announcement, Canada also indicated that it would increase its pledge to the Fund by 20%.

France announced that it will contribute approximately $467 million a year to the Global Fund for the period 2014–2016. This is about the same amount as France pledged for 2011–2013.

Italy has apparently reneged on a pledge that it will give 100 million euros (133 million dollars) to the Global Fund this year. This will be the first time that a country has cancelled a pledge to the Fund.
