UPDATES ON THE GLOBAL FUND'S FUNDING CUTS IN CAMEROON AND THE COVID-19 SITUATION
ABSTRACT
The Global Fund has recently informed Cameroon of its decision to de-commit €10 million from its 2017–2019 allocation for failing to meet co-financing commitments. It has also published its 31st edition of the COVID-19 Situation Report, which details the effect of COVID-19 on the malaria response.
Global Fund Board approves $36 million for country and multicountry grants
ABSTRACT
In the latest batch of funding approvals from the Global Fund Board, three country grants and two multicountry grants were awarded $36 million. The Board also approved funding in the amount of $66 million for interventions on the Unfunded Quality Demand Register. Some of the funding for the UQD interventions came from private sector contributions.
Countries could improve data use to inform more effective grant implementation, Aidspan study finds
ABSTRACT
A new report published by Aidspan suggests that countries may not be using data optimally to inform grant implementation. The study, which aimed to assess flows of grant information and measurement of grant performance, also suggests that the Global Fund offers countries the flexibility to select performance indicators that are in line with the countries’ own strategic plans as well as with the Global Fund’s objectives.
Cameroon’s TB/HIV funding request to the Global Fund focuses on communities and key populations
ABSTRACT
There was a strong focus on communities and key populations in Cameroon’s TB/HIV funding request. The Board approved two HIV grants and one TB grant in January 2018. Cameroon also submitted a malaria funding request, which led to approval of a malaria grant in December 2017. Some key initiatives were relegated to the prioritized above-allocation requests due to a lack of available funding.

D'autres conclusions concernant la subvention paludisme au Cameroun sont plus encourageantes.
