ABSTRACT The Eastern Africa National Networks of AIDS Service Organizations (EANNASO) convened a meeting of Global Fund civil society implementers from Anglophone and Lusophone Africa. Participants shared experience of the challenges of grant implementation, grant absorption, and tested solutions. At the end of the two-day meeting, participants welcomed the setup of a Community of Practice to continue learning from each other. Aidspan’s policy team reports.

RÉSUMÉ Une réunion de deux jours a rassemblé des militants de la société civile et communautaires, le Fonds mondial, les partenaires techniques et des représentants des pouvoirs publics pour les préparer en vue d’une participation plus significative à la mise en œuvre des subventions du Fonds mondial en Afrique.

ABSTRACT A two-day meeting attended by civil society and community advocates, the Global Fund, technical partners and state representatives has equipped participants to more meaningfully engage in the implementation of Global Fund grants in the African region.

ABSTRACT The Global Fund is providing $500,000 to support the HER Voice Fund, a new initiative designed to bolster meaningful engagement of adolescent girls and young women groups and networks in Global Fund–related processes and in national processes in 13 focus countries. The HER Voice Fund will be administered by SHRH Africa Trust (SAT) and Eastern Africa National Networks of AIDS Service Organizations (EANNASO).
