ABSTRACT An audit by the Office of the Inspector General found that Cameroon is achieving good progress in terms of prevention, diagnosis and treatment coverage for the three diseases. The COVID-19 pandemic has had limited impact on grant implementation, other than for HIV community-based interventions, thanks to timely Global Fund financial support to Principal Recipients. However, on the downside, mitigation measures to address key issues that affected grant implementation during 2017-2019 allocation period were rated as only partially effective. Moreover, processes for ensuring timely and effective implementation of COVID- 19 investments were deemed to need significant improvement

RÉSUMÉ Le dernier lot d’approbations de financements pour 2017/2019 est peut-être petit en comparaison avec les autres (40,5 millions de dollars pour trois nouvelles subventions, plus 40,6 millions de dollars pour 10 demandes de fonds de contrepartie), mais il y a des évolutions intéressantes à signaler pour chacune des nouvelles subventions. Le Conseil d’administration a par ailleurs approuvé 4 millions de dollars de financement supplémentaire pour une subvention VIH au Kenya suite à une contribution du secteur privé.
