RÉSUMÉ
Au Sénégal comme ailleurs, les personnes de plus de 60 ans sont le sujet de préoccupation majeur face au risque de contracter la Covid-19. Les travaux menés par les chercheurs de l’IRD et de ses partenaires du projet ARIACOV semble montrer qu’ils ont été sensibles aux messages de prévention et à l’information transmise par les autorités sanitaires, constituant un groupe allié important à associer aux interventions de prévention, même auprès des groupes plus jeunes, du fait de leur autorité et de leur place dans la famille.

ABSTRACT
In West and Central Africa, where the COVID-19 epidemic is spreading, civil society organizations implementing Global Fund grants are organizing the community response. They are coordinating information and awareness-raising on protection, distribution of hygiene kits, and reconfiguring the available care on offer at health facilities and the protection of caregivers. They also rely on the community networks of young women and neighborhood associations.
OIG INVESTIGATION OF PHISHING FRAUD IN SENEGAL FINDS “MULTIPLE CONTROL LAPSES” WITHIN MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND SOCIAL ACTION
ABSTRACT
The Office of the Inspector General has published its report on the Global Fund’s first case of ‘phishing’ fraud. The fraud, which happened after fraudsters hacked the email account of a procurement specialist within Senegal's Ministry of Health and Social Action, resulted in the misdirection of $481,541 of grant funds because of an unauthorized change of supplier’s banking details. Multiple control lapses allowed the fraud to succeed, the OIG said, though no collusion was suspected.

ABSTRACT
The Global Fund has informed Senegal that it will not renew a malaria grant that is approaching the end of its second year, because of "systemic issues that resulted in poor performance." This is the first Global Fund grant to be terminated by the Fund after two years rather than being renewed for Years 3 through 5.
