OIG INVESTIGATIONS INTO GLOBAL FUND GRANTS IN NIGERIA AND INDONESIA CONFIRM NON-COMPLIANT EXPENDITURES TOTALLING MORE THAN $200,000

ABSTRACT Allegations of salary-related fraud within Global Fund grants have grown rapidly, the Office of the Inspector General says, especially in the past two years. The OIG has issued a report on two recent investigations into salary-related fraud in Nigeria and Indonesia, finding non-compliant expenditures in both programs, and seeking recoveries of the full amounts in both countries.
