According to the Office of the Inspector General, initiatives to improve service quality will take time to yield measurable impact at the country level. This article describes some of these initiatives as well as the challenges in implementing them effectively.
NEW FUNDING MODEL: A MODERN APPROACH

In a rebuttal to a commentary by David Garmaise, the Global Fund says the new funding model (NFM) is designed to optimize use of all available funding, from all sources, so that partners can work together to find the most effective solutions to health challenges. The Global Fund is challenging what it says is Garmaise's seeming interest in the Global Fund's preservation of historical operating methods. But everything changes, especially the reality of HIV, TB and malaria. The new funding model was set up to adjust to change, not to block it.

Global Fund Launches Public Awareness Campaign
ABSTRACT
The Global Fund has launched a campaign to raise awareness about the Fund. It includes a video that conceptually illustrates disease being confronted by the Global Fund. It does this by showing a street-fighting bully who is eventually knocked flat by an even bigger fighter.
