ABSTRACT According to the World Health Organization’s 2020 report on malaria, the global fight against malaria has made particularly significant progress over the past two decades. We discussed how we can continue to work towards eradicating malaria with Roberto Garcia (CEO Health Management Support Team) and Ben Rolfe (CEO Nascent Advisory and Former APLMA CEO), particularly through working with the private sector and civil society, who are key partners in a context where funding is tight and strategic approaches need to be revised.

Experts say that COVID-19 may lead to higher than usual malaria death rates because of the shifts in countries’ public-health focus, to dealing with the coronavirus.
